About Me

I grew up in Silicon Valley, California. Surrounded by technology, I've always taken an interest in it. Now I'm a BYU student pursuing a master's in Information Systems Management.

Snowboarding

My hobbies

Day to day you'll find me playing pickleball, volleyball, or disc golf. When the season calls for it, I'm out hiking and backpacking, snowboarding, or doing anything that involves the water. In these natural elements, I find purpose in the physical challenge.

On my downtime, I enjoy watching movies, discovering new music, or occasionally playing video games with friends.

New places, new perspectives

I enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people. I gain new insight when traveling. There's something to learn from every culture or perspective. I have now lived in California, Idaho, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and Utah: all long enough to understand that each place fosters a unique culture to learn from.

I have also studied abroad, living in France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Spain, and Morocco. These countries taught me more about the importance of global relations. I find that people around the world all have similar struggles to you and I.

Fostering relationships

Above everything else, I value the relationships in my life, starting with family. Growing up in an LDS household has reinforced the importance of family in my life, and I aim to support a family lifestyle. Next to family, I have lifelong friends that I also keep as a priority. I am a firm believer in maintaining relationships.

I love meeting new people. I have been fortunate enough to find my people everywhere my life takes me. Helping others and expressing real appreciation for those around me is something I'm always working at.

Where I've been

Experience & Education

From early hands-on work to ongoing academic study — a chronological look at the experiences that shaped the way I think and build.

Software Engineering

Brigham Young University Idaho

Rexburg, ID·Sept 2020 – May 2021

I started college at BYU-Idaho straight out of high school, drawn in by an interest in coding I had picked up through elective programming classes. That first year laid the groundwork for everything that followed.

  • Learned Python and applied it across assignments, projects, and early problem-solving exercises
  • Studied computer systems fundamentals including hardware architecture, memory, and processing
  • Built collaborative habits through team-based coursework and introductory engineering projects

Volunteer Representative

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Knoxville, TN·July 2021 – July 2023

After my first year of school, I chose to spend two years serving others in Knoxville, Tennessee. The mission taught me more about people, leadership, and perseverance than I expected.

  • Led and coached a rotating team of 60+ volunteers across a large geographic area
  • Worked daily with people from all walks of life, sharpening communication and empathy
  • Taught and supported 2,000+ individuals through personal challenges and meaningful life changes

Computer Science

Brigham Young University

Provo, UT·Sept 2023 – Sept 2025

I returned from Tennessee and transferred to BYU to continue my degree. Studying computer science at a research university pushed my technical depth well beyond where I had been.

  • Covered data structures, algorithms, and systems-level programming in significant depth
  • Built fluency in C and C++ alongside higher-level languages and web technologies
  • Applied software engineering principles and best practices across coursework and personal projects

Information Systems

Brigham Young University

Provo, UT·Sept 2025 – Present

A few years into my CS degree, I realized I wanted skills that connected directly to real business decisions. Switching to Information Systems gave me a program that bridges software and strategy.

  • Coursework spans database systems, data communications, analytics, and product management
  • Studying machine learning and AI tools and how to apply them in organizational contexts
  • Maintaining a 3.56 GPA while applying coursework to real projects and internship work

Masters Student

BYU Marriott School of Business

Provo, UT·Incoming 2026

I have been accepted into the Masters in Information Systems Management program and am building toward that next chapter. In the meantime, I am picking up real work, staying sharp on my own projects, and open to building something for you.

  • Accepted into the MISM program at BYU Marriott School of Business
  • Currently building AI agents through a small internship focused on workflow automation
  • Working on personal projects and available to take on client work
